I am a British teacher with over 10 years experience teaching English as a Second Language. I have taught in the UK, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Spain and China. I am also a writer of my own original short stories. I have an MA TESOL and MA International History. I like to teach using short stories and create activities where the students have the opportunity to speak as much as possible in a natural way. I also like to use authentic language where students learn the language by studying interesting topics from history,geography,science, technology and culture.
I would describe my personality as very easy-going. I like my students to feel relaxed and not be afraid of mistaking mistakes. Making mistakes is how we learn.
As well as being a native teacher I can also teach Arabic for beginners and I am currently learning Spanish. I try and use my experience as a language learner myself when creating activities that I believe work best for my own students.
