Hello, my name is Natalia, I currently live in Costa Rica, where I have been teaching English for 6 years. Both Online and in the Classroom. Working with Children and Beginner Adults is my passion. Getting students over the fear of speaking and doing it correctly is what makes a good teacher. Seeing their progress from nervous Beginner to English speaking chatterbox is like fireworks in the sky. They are like a new book in which you can help them write their own story. I love working with children because we can sing and play and learn all while seeing their eyes light up because of the joy they feel when they can say their first sentence or tell you about their day. I understand the stress of learning a new language. It’s vital for me to become a friend and look for ways to lower the stress level of learning English. I like to use whatever tools or toys or examples necessary to make the learning experience fun and productive. I have taken multiple trainings to improve my technique. TELF Certification TEYL (Teaching English to Young Learners) Foundations to Virtual Instruction Certificate I find ways to make my lessons interactive and relevant to YOU. I share optional material for students to practice in their free time. I find Placement Tests are a valuable tool. They help to accurately assess a student’s English level. I would love to be part of your learning journey. English Classes For Children, I like to use Oxford Let's Go Courseware. These will have them speaking in a short time :) For adults, I have video lessons to focus on listening comprehension and also grammar lessons for conversation. Math, Science and Reading I teach Kindergarten and First Grade. So I help young Children learn Reading, Math and Science and also Practice their English skills all along with American Education Standards. I am friendly and very patient. I like to focus on conversation as I believe that we only understand what we are able to say ourselves. I am flexible for rescheduling, however, If you need to cancel a class, please let your teacher know and cancel the class 12 hours before the start time. I leave homework and I like it when students turn it in on time.
