Hi, my name's Jamie and I've been teaching English since 2013. I've taught a huge variety of nationalities and worked in Japan, France and the UK. I enjoy teaching because I love my language. I also like getting to know my students and finding out about their cultures. I speak French fluently and know some Japanese. I understand exactly how difficult it is to learn a language! I like to start the lessons with some simple questions to find out about you and your motivation for studying. Then we'll discuss any goals you have and how we can work together to help you achieve them. - General/conversational English for students and professionals - Business English - Exam preparation: I have a lot of experience with Cambridge exams. With IELTS I have less experience but would be happy to help you if this is your goal. I adapt the lesson to you and your needs. If your English is low level I'm very friendly and patient. If you're more advanced and you need to be challenged, that can be arranged! I like to encourage my students to buy a textbook, as this provides you with material to work on every skill: grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening, and writing. It will also give us topics to discuss and allow you to practice speaking and pronunciation. If you are less keen on the idea of using a textbook, there are plenty of online materials I can provide you with.
